On June 13th, 2011 from 11:00 till 18:00, OpenToko.org presents a workshop about the open-source content management system Drupal by Peter van der West and Peter Uithoven. It will be a beginners-workshop showing the basic principles of building a website using Drupal. To attend this workshop some basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is recommended but not required.

We will do an overview of Drupal and its most important modules. How to create a basic portfolio website? The introduction will be followed by a hands-on session to explore Drupal on your own. Peter & Peter will be there to assist you.

Trainers
Peter van der West works as a web developer/designer and has over 10 years of experience. Besides web development he loves technology and electronics in general and is passionate about creating interactive installations.

Peter Uithoven is an Interaction Design student at HKU. He specializes in physical interactive installations. He loves both the creative and technical part of projects, has experience in openFrameworks, ActionScript and electronics. He is also involves in TransitieLab trying to make the world a bit more sustainable.

Costs
The cost for the workshop is up to you. You can choose how much the knowledge is worth to you. There will be a honesty box for your cash donations. You can also ask for a bill if you don’t want to pay cash.
